SONIC 2010 IS OVER

AND THANK YOU FOR COMING ALONG

Sonic was a mild success, and I want to give a special thanks to the following dedicated helpers without which SONIC would not have been possible. Jesse Vandenbosch for the web site, arranging all the Djs and so, so much more - great work Jesse! and Pete Blay - Navigator Multimedia for all the Graphics - awesome stuff - thanks Pete!, Eryyn Peterkin for coordinate all the stall holders, volunteers (those that showed that is?), the buses and much, much more, my right hand person, thank you so much for your extreme effort above and beyond the call of duty - I could not have done this without you - Luv ya guts! Yose Le Cerf for arranging all the bands - good work Yose and have a great holiday at your Brothers wedding in Sri Lanka! Jades and his 6P's team for saving Sunday by arranging Security guards and Sound and Damo for supplying Sound at short notice and running the Market Stage himself all day - thanks heaps Damo!, Northern Rivers Sound for Supplying Sound for the main pavilion stage - great sound and you too help save the day at short notice. Erik Bigalk for the Marketing campaign implemented eficiently in a very restricted time frame - well done Erik! Kim West and Danielle for Coordinating volunteers and doing most of the volunteer work themselves on the weekend....what can I say - thanks for your power girls! Lorrain for helping at the Cashiers office without a working EFPOS - well done Lorrain! Ah and not to forget our wonderful roving performers and fire acts - Le Petite Lumiere, Chinta 15yo and her twin sisters Nahani, and Matisse King both 12yo; for their fabulous fire twirling act - totally awesome - thanks girls, love to have you back next year! and what's a Festival without Rusty with his fantabulous Fire Show, same goes for you Rusty many many thanks!  Salubrious Art for the graceful and enchanting stilt walking plus all your hoop and poi workshops - many thanks girls, I felt that both young and old had a great time watching you, hope to see you in 2011. Thank you Jurassic Joe for a great kids performance, you had the kids and their parents all entranced, bedazzled and they all had a great time; and too all the stall holders that put their effort and faith behind us at SONIC to help us make this a wonderful weekend in the end even if the big crowds did not come this year and your profits were, were....I'm so sorry.

A very special thanks to Elfie and the team at Spirit Web http://www.spiritweb.com.au/  - what beautiful great karma you brought with you and shared with us all at SONIC 2010......excellent sound and mind boggling Mandala artworks......Love and xxx and to anyone else I have forgotten including the Kaleidoscope people, thank you - thank you - and hope to see you all and many more at SONIC 2011.

Can't forget all the awesome Dj's and Bands and I'm sure that everyone that attended will back me in saying awesome show guy's you all made SONIC 2010 a weekend to remember - thanks to your team, thank you!!  Sincerely - Malcolm Fine - Events Producer/Coordinator Sonic Fantasy Productions Lismore.

Unfortunately the lack of patronage meant we did not cover our costs and I personally incurred a loss however not to worry, I have sufficient funds to cover this loss this year. The general vibe and feeling at the festival was awesome and I feel the general recipe is there for this much needed annual Lismore Music event. The SONIC team had a meeting and we all voted to do it again, so SONIC 2011 is in planning, I apologise for the lack of staff on the weekend however only 10 out of 64 confirmed volunteers showed up and this made the smooth running of the festival extremely difficult and placed all my managers (and the poor volunteers that showed up) under to much stress. I sincerely apologise for any problems you may have experienced on the weekend and I repeat please do not hold my volunteers or volunteer managers responsible for any problems incurred - if you have any questions or are interested in helping with our future plans please contact me - Malcolm Fine on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.   I look forward to your input and a better SONIC 2011
